Il Est Écrit Multimédia becomes Espoir Média Québec.

The project to transform and expand the Il Est Écrit studio has been circulating in the corridors of the Federation for several years. The Canadian government has granted the Adventist Church Canada a television licence. This is unique in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada, as well as for the Canadian government, which has never granted a licence to any church or denomination.

In order for Hope Channel Canada to obtain a licence and begin broadcasting, a minimum number of French-language productions made in Canada had to be guaranteed. For this reason, the Union, the FMA and the North American Division joined forces to support the Quebec Conference in this project to move the studio from Montreal to Quebec City.

To enable the Il Est Écrit Multimédia studio to create new programmes in addition to the classic Il Est Écrit, it was necessary to change the way we work, the way we produce television and therefore the facilities. Work began in January and was completed on Friday 15 November at 7.30 pm. The President of the North American Division, Pastor Alexander Bryant, accompanied by the President of the Canadian Union, Pastor Paul Llewellyn, and the President of the Quebec Federation, Pastor Ngoy Kyala, cut the ribbon on the new studio in the presence of more than 60 guests from across Canada and the United States.

Located at 5214 Boulevard Wilfrid Hamel in Quebec City, the new studio is designed to continue recording Il Est Écrit, with modular sets that make it easy to adapt the space for the production of other Hope Channel Canada productions. In the near future, new television programmes on health, family, spirituality, etc. will be recorded.

As the studio becomes the production centre for new and diversified television programmes, it changes its name from Il Est Écrit Multimédia to Espoir Média Québec. The traditional Il Est Écrit programme will continue to be broadcast on Hope Channel Canada, as well as on ICI, Noovo and TVA.
