On April 26, the Education Department invites all local churches to highlight Adventist Education Sabbath. This special day provides an opportunity to showcase the essential mission of Adventist Christian education, while recognizing the exceptional work of our teachers, students, and all those involved in this valuable ministry.
This Education Sabbath is particularly meaningful because it emphasizes a comprehensive approach that targets not only academic success but also the spiritual and personal growth of students. This education aims to shape young people who are committed, responsible, and ready to serve God and their communities with integrity.
On this special Sabbath, we encourage each church to dedicate a portion of the worship service to promoting the importance and benefits of Christian education. Practical activities might include inviting teachers or students to participate in the service, sharing inspiring testimonies, or integrating visual presentations into the church announcements.
This day is also an excellent opportunity to promote our two Adventist educational institutions in Quebec: Greaves Adventist Academy in Montreal and the Campus de Sartigan in Saint-Georges. These two schools share a common vision: to provide a welcoming learning environment where students grow and learn in a caring atmosphere centered on Christian values such as respect, cooperation, and community service.
Additionally, to strengthen ties between our schools and local communities, representatives from our institutions will visit several churches in Montreal, Longueuil, and surrounding regions during the months of May and June. These visits will concretely demonstrate the benefits of Adventist education, encourage families to consider this educational option, and reinforce cooperation between our churches and schools.
We warmly thank all pastors, church leaders, and members for their valuable support and welcoming spirit in this collective initiative. Your active participation directly contributes to promoting a strong Christian education capable of shaping committed and inspired youth for the future.
Together, let’s continue investing in the academic and spiritual future of our young people!
