From September 11 to 13, 2026, delegates from the churches and institutions that make up the Quebec Conference gathered at LaSalle New Life Seventh-day Adventist Church in Montreal for the 11th Constituency Session of the Quebec Conference.

Held under the theme “I Will Go! A Mission for Every Culture,” the session marked an important moment in the life of the Conference. Over the course of three days, delegates reviewed the work accomplished during the previous term, participated in key administrative decisions, and looked ahead together to the priorities for the 2026–2031 term.

The Conference also had the privilege of welcoming several special guests to the session: Pastor Paul Llewellyn, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada (SDACC); Cyril Millett III, Executive Secretary and Vice President of the SDACC; Paul Musafili, Treasurer and Vice President for Finance of the SDACC; Joseph Richards, General Counsel for the SDACC; and Dr. Willie Hucks, Ministerial Association Director for the North American Division (NAD). Their presence and participation enriched the moments of reflection, fellowship, and spiritual connection throughout the session.

Beyond the reports, deliberations, and voting, the session also provided an opportunity to highlight the diversity that characterizes the Adventist Church in Quebec. Across its many cultural and linguistic communities, members are united by one mission: to proclaim the Gospel and serve the communities in which God has placed them.

A Look Back at the Journey

The session provided an opportunity to reflect on various aspects of the work carried out by departmental directors and administrators over the past several years. The reports presented to the delegates highlighted the dedication, initiatives, and strategies implemented to advance the mission of the Church throughout Quebec.

A special moment was devoted to the history and identity of the Conference with the presentation of the documentary “Who Are We?” The documentary offered a look back at the journey of the Adventist Church in Quebec while also highlighting the women and men who continue to write its story today.

With more than 10,000 members across 57 congregations, the Quebec Conference is a deeply diverse community. This reality gave even greater meaning to the theme chosen for the session: the mission does not belong to one culture, one language, or one generation. It belongs to the entire Church.

A moment of Ordinattion

Among the memorable moments of the 11th Constituency Session, the ordination of Pastor Michel Silva to the gospel ministry held a special place. Surrounded by his family, colleagues, and the church community, he was ordained during a meaningful time of prayer and gratitude to God. This ordination marks a new chapter in his ministry and reflects his continued commitment to serving the Church and advancing its mission.

A New Term: 2026–2031

One of the significant moments of every constituency session is the selection of those who are called to serve the Church during the next term.

The delegates renewed their confidence in the Conference administrative team for 2026–2031, with the re-election of the president, executive secretary, and treasurer.

The session also included several appointments within the various ministries and departments of the Conference. Some leaders will continue the work already underway, while others are beginning a new chapter of ministry.

These appointments, however, represent more than administrative responsibilities. Behind each one is a call to service: to support local churches, strengthen ministries, equip members, and contribute to fulfilling the mission of the Church throughout Quebec.

The Mission Continues

The conclusion of a constituency session marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Quebec Conference. During the 2026–2031 term, President Pastor Ngoy Kyala, Executive Secretary Pastor Luders Julsain, and Treasurer Pastor Lucian Stefanescu will continue serving the mission while responding to the realities and challenges facing communities across Quebec.

The theme “I Will Go! A Mission for Every Culture” therefore becomes more than a session theme. It is an invitation extended to every member, every church, and every ministry.

The mission of the Church does not rest solely on those who have been elected or appointed. It belongs to each one of us, as we look toward a vision that transcends cultures, languages, and borders:

“After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb.”

Revelation 7:9
